Student Success Facilitator

Comstock Park is seeking candidates who display a strong desire and ability to make an impact on students and the greater community both within and outside of the classroom.

The Student Success Facilitator at Comstock Park High School is a student-centered professional dedicated to supporting at-risk youth through a "whole child" approach. This role focuses on removing barriers to personal success via developing communication strategies, supporting time management skills and prioritizing academic needs. This will foster accountability, goal setting, and emotional resilience. Serving as a critical bridge between students, administration, and support teams, the Facilitator balances proactive intervention with structured supervision, playing a key role in school safety, discipline transitions, and behavioral support frameworks.

This is an at-risk funded position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner with at-risk students to co-create, monitor, and achieve personal, behavioral, and academic goals.

Implement regular check-ins with target students to build self-regulation, time-management, and ownership of their actions.

Identify and bridge gaps in students' basic, emotional, or social needs by collaborating with school counselors, social workers, and external community resources.

Assist high school administration with disciplinary processes, focusing heavily on restorative practices and proactive intervention before behaviors escalate.

Design and facilitate structured re-entry plans for students transitioning back to the classroom following suspensions, truancy, or alternative placements to ensure long-term stability.

Mediate student-to-student and student-to-staff conflicts using restorative justice models to repair relationships and maintain a positive school climate.

Provide immediate, trauma-informed de-escalation support during student behavioral crises.

Play a vital role in the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework, specifically designing and executing Tier 2 (targeted) and Tier 3 (intensive) interventions.

Collect, track, and analyze student behavioral, attendance, and disciplinary data to measure intervention efficacy and adjust strategies accordingly.

Support co-curricular events with the goal to increase participation and access for at-risk populations.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or

Experience:

Degree: Bachelor's degree required (Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working with at-risk adolescents, preferably within an educational setting.
Intervention Knowledge: Proven knowledge of research related to student behavioral interventions, MTSS frameworks, and behavioral threat assessment (BTAM) practices.
Training & Collaboration: Experience planning and conducting professional development/training, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various groups and gain consensus related to program implementation.
Data Proficiency: Experience utilizing data-based decision-making systems to track and evaluate student progress.
Spanish-speaking skills are highly desirable.
