A busy construction firm in Concord is seeking a detail‑driven Construction Billing Clerk to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and has experience supporting billing operations in the construction industry. This is a great opportunity to transition into a long‑term role with a stable, established company.
Location: Concord, CA - 100% On‑Site
Type: Temp‑to‑Hire
Pay: $26-$28 per hour
- Prepare and process monthly construction billing, including progress billings and final invoices
- Support AIA billing and percentage‑of‑completion invoicing (experience preferred)
- Review job cost data, subcontractor invoices, and change orders for accuracy
- Maintain up‑to‑date billing schedules, backup documentation, and project files
- Assist with accounts receivable tracking and follow‑up
- Work closely with project managers to ensure billing reflects current project status
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve invoicing issues
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department
- Previous experience in construction billing or a similar accounting support role
- Familiarity with AIA billing formats and construction invoicing processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficient with accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work fully on‑site in Concord
