Staff Accountant

Description

In this role, you will take ownership of complex accounting functions and play a key part in supporting the organization's financial operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports

· Prepare journal entries monthly.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.

· Compute sales taxes owed and prepare tax returns

· Prepare personal property tax reports.

· Track and monitor fixed assets and make sure assets comply with policy.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations

· Post AR Cash Receipts

· Set up wire transfers.

Requirements

B.S. in accounting

5+ years' of accounting experience w (G/L, GAAP understanding, recons, tax, audit, month and year-end, budgeting-actuals, Etc.)

MS Excel - Intermediate

Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priority

Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
