JUNIOR ACCOUNTS ASSOCIATE - An efficient and accurate individual comfortable working with accounting data, EDI and web-based systems is needed by a national importer/distributor of residential furniture. Must be highly detailed and focused, insuring payments and receipts are properly processed with correct documentation and postings. Needs to be a valuable communicator, comfortable with collections within a customer focused framework.
Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Match, code and post vendor invoices
- Review and verify statements
- Track and confirm freight charges
- Post invoices to ERP
- Run reports and file documents
- Review customer account to release/hold orders
- Confirm COD invoicing
- Prepare daily deposits and post payments to ERP
- Process credits for returns or service allowance
- Monitor customer credit status and troubleshoot issues
- Initiate and monitor collection process
- Various office duties and projects as required.
- Minimum 3 years experience in AP/AR and Collections with proven accuracy
- Excellent verbal and precise written skills
- Time management abilities to meet deadlines
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access & Outlook
- College or University Degree an asset
- Starting salary $47,500
- Full benefit program
M-F in office at Concord location, Hwy 7 & Keele area.
