Scheduler II

Location:

Hybrid – Concord, CA

Assignment Duration: 24 weeks | Full-time

Schedule:

Day shift (8-hour shifts, typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Position Overview

The Scheduler II contractor will support centralized scheduling operations within a home health environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate patient service schedules, coordinating with care teams and physician offices, and supporting administrative functions related to scheduling and documentation. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update patient service schedules to ensure accuracy and coverage
  • Answer incoming calls and coordinate scheduling logistics with patients, care teams, and internal departments
  • Confirm availability and ensure timely communication across all stakeholders
  • Update documentation and ensure completeness of scheduling records
  • Resolve routine scheduling conflicts and support day-to-day operational needs
  • Provide coverage support during team absences, including leave and high-volume periods
  • Ensure compliance with privacy standards, including proper handling of PHI

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of recent experience in scheduling, clerical, or healthcare administrative support
  • Experience managing patient schedules and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Experience coordinating with physicians' offices, patients, families, and internal teams
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnostic services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of privacy, safety, and compliance standards
