Automotive Apprenticeship Group is looking for a Automotive Service Leader or Dealership veteran to lead our expansion to the North Bay area of Northern CA to bring apprenticeship pipelines and industry designed workforce development opportunities to California dealerships.
We are looking for Automotive Industry veterans' who have experience in the fixed operations of retail automotive. Rather you have been a service manager, fixed ops director, GM, or dealer principal… we need your talent and expertise to help lead the charge in helping New Car dealerships & service centers take control of their workforce through apprenticeship.
Who are we looking for?- Candidates with a strong understanding of the Automotive Retail Market - Especially fixed operations
- Ambitious leaders that effectively develop relationships with dealerships from the top decision makers all the way to the service teams.
- An effective sales representative to develop dealership commitments and client support for light Automotive Vehicle dealerships and truck service centers.
- Leaders and collaborators – Our model requires top level communication from field, to both host employers, apprentices, and support HQ.
- Problem solvers and consultive sales professionals that can help service centers identify their needs and pain-points and offer value-based solutions through the apprenticeship model.
- Proven track record of meeting KPI
- Able to overcome objections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to present themselves professionally and conduct engaging presentations with key decision makers
- Professional and positive outlook with the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Reliable personal vehicle (Mileage reimbursement is part of the benefits package) with ability to travel locally
- Must be able to complete a successful background, DMV, and drug screening.

The role of a Business Development Manager(This role takes place largely in the field)
- Sourcing new business, utilizing your contacts as well as being resourceful and collaborative with your network, colleagues and using all available tools to reach out to your targeted demographic.
- Increasing market exposure and community awareness of our services to new and existing clients
- Consult dealers to understand how the AAG solution can plug in and provide an ROI as well as secure the techs needed for market demand.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules of activities, including visits to new car dealerships, cold calling prospective automotive service partners, working with top level decision makers, and presenting the program in a business setting that allows for a full understanding of the apprenticeship model.
- Leveraging workforce development resources and stakeholders to grow industry buy in.
- Assist in the selection and appointment of Apprentices and Host Businesses for appropriate placement and training.
- Work cross collaboratively with field teams to execute at a high level in response to dealership workforce needs.
- Set's dealerships up with the knowledge and tools to successfully execute Registered Apprenticeship in their Dealerships
