Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil & Environmental

Location: Concord, CA

Our client, a leading environmental construction firm, is seeking a Senior Project Manager with heavy civil and environmental experience to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. The PM will coordinate teams, manage budgets and schedules, serve as the primary client contact, and ensure project success while mentoring field and office staff.

• Lead project setup, scheduling, procurement, and preconstruction activities
• Monitor budgets, cost tracking, and change orders; review subcontractor requisitions
• Manage field teams, superintendents, and contractors, fostering accountability and performance
• Serve as main point of contact for clients and project communications
• Conduct project postmortems and implement lessons learned
• Support business development and client relationship-building

• 5+ years project management experience, preferably in environmental or heavy civil construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of construction methods, team management, budgeting, and scheduling
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with project management software (Viewpoint, B2W, Heavy Job/Bid) helpful; training provided
• HAZWOPER 40-Hr or 8-Hr refresher preferred; valid driver’s license
