Assistant Project Manager, Electrical Construction

Entry‑level project management position focused on supporting the Project Management team in electrical construction.

• Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Oversee project activities assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
• Maintain change orders, submittal and drawing control logs; prepare required logs and documentation for construction meetings.
• Ensure accurate and timely contract submittals.
• Create and issue subcontractor contracts.
• Assemble and deliver the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
• Ensure the project quality control plan is followed.
• Obtain correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals from subcontractors.
• Maintain the Warranty Log.
• Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., providing project management support.
• Assist field personnel as needed.
• Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.
• Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
• Prepare price change orders, project reports, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.
• Other duties as assigned within the business unit.

• Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others.
• Strong organizational, record‑keeping, and follow‑up skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  Oracle preferred.
• Prioritization and multitasking skills under changing priorities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt with a positive attitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective team player.
• Effective professional interaction with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in a construction‑related role; a combination of training, education and relevant work experience can be considered equivalent.

Up to 25% of work time may involve travel.

• Primarily on active construction sites; includes sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
• Environmental conditions include fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Typical noise level low to medium.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
