Position: Floral Designer (Weddings, Events & Retail)

Flowers Valley is a design-driven floral studio serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We create refined floral experiences for retail, weddings, events, and corporate clients — with past collaborations including Tiffany & Co., NVIDIA, Pinterest, Uber, and Dior. Our spacious Concord studio is a creative hub where our design team brings elegant, modern floral visions to life.

Position Overview

We’re looking for skilled Floral Designers who can confidently create, design, and install floral arrangements for weddings, events, and retail clients. The ideal candidate has strong technical floral skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of design execution from studio production to on-site setup.

The final role level (Senior / Intermediate) will be determined during the interview based on experience and skill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and produce floral arrangements, bouquets, tall centerpieces, arches and installations following the design direction and event briefs.
  • Execute on-site setups and teardowns for weddings and events across the Bay Area.
  • Create high-quality floral pieces for retail clients and corporate orders.
  • Manage flower conditioning, prep, and workspace organization.
  • Ensure all designs meet Flowers Valley’s elevated quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Work efficiently and professionally, keeping to timelines in the studio and on the events.
  • Senior level florists will also manage a team of florists and coordinate with other vendors during event setup and execution.
Qualifications
  • Previous floral design experience is required (3+ years preferred).
  • Proven ability to execute full floral designs and large-scale installations independently.
  • Deep knowledge of floral varieties, mechanics, and color composition.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and team-oriented mindset.
  • English proficiency for coordination and event communication.
Compensation & Schedule
  • $25–$35/hour, based on skill and experience.
  • Flexible opportunities: part-time, contract, or seasonal.
  • Work in-person at our Concord, CA studio and event venues throughout the Bay Area.
