Job Description:
An ESS Substitute Paraprofessional supports classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities, supervising students, and providing additional support to individuals or small groups of students as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- TB Test
- Department of Justice background check
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with instructional activities in the classroom.
- Provide support to individual students or small groups under the direction of the teacher.
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and other assigned areas.
- Assist with classroom organization and preparation of instructional materials.
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social needs.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
