Location: Concord, CA
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (in-person)
Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, certification, and education
Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required, or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included)
Bridge Quest Academy (BQA) is a private microschool dedicated to reimagining education for students grades K-12. Our model combines online learning platforms with project-based, hands‑on experiences that foster curiosity, independence, and collaboration. Paraprofessionals play a key role in supporting students as they progress through individualized learning paths and group projects in a small, engaging, and supportive school environment.
Responsibilities- Support students in completing online coursework by keeping them engaged, answering questions, and offering encouragement.
- Assist Learning Coaches in facilitating project‑based learning experiences, including preparing materials and guiding small groups.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them build academic skills, confidence, and independence.
- Encourage positive peer relationships and collaboration in classroom projects.
- Supervise students during non‑instructional times (lunch, recess, transitions).
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Model school values of respect, responsibility, and curiosity in all interactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in an educational or youth program setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Learning Coaches and other staff.
- Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90 days (company‑paid training provided).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field.
- Experience with project‑based learning or alternative school models.
- Familiarity supporting neurodivergent learners.
- $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, certification, and education.
