The LVN Program Coordinator works with and functions under the supervision of the Campus VN Program Director and VN Assistant Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program. Job responsibilities include: assisting with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program; assisting with preparing data and other written materials for all required state and Board requirements including reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, audits, and site visits;
assisting in the training of new faculty and the professional development of existing faculty; assisting in planning faculty staffing to ensure course coverage; ensuring theory and clinical evaluations are completed in a timely manner by assigned faculty; assisting in gathering evaluations from students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty upon completion of each clinical rotation; assisting with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality;
making continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction; ensuring clinical assignments, clinical rotation matrixes and calendars are completed in a timely manner; ensuring faculty are consistently following policies and guidelines as related to student clinical rotation experience; reviewing student learning material on an ongoing basis; ensuring student records are maintained according to policies; submitting required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner;
keeping current with new technologies and safety regulations; providing advising support and planning assistance to potential and current students; ensuring all students have completed the necessary documentation and meet the requirements for graduation and the state licensing exam; teaching (either theory or clinical) half of the time as needed; and other duties as assigned. Pay range:
The annual pay range for this position is $104,000/year (minimum), and $110,000/year (maximum).
