About UsOur Natural Resources & Impact Assessment Group specializes in environmental impact documentation and permitting services across various exciting sectors, including transportation (ports, road, rail, and transit), utilities, local development, energy, mining, and coastal restoration. We're looking for a skilled Senior Environmental Project Manager to support environmental review and permitting efforts for complex projects, primarily in Northern California and the North Coast region.
WhatYou Will Do
- Lead project delivery by preparing environmental impact analyses in line with CEQA and NEPA, as well as conducting technical studies related to biological resources and other environmental aspects.
- Serve as a client-facing project manager, overseeing multi-disciplinary environmental delivery for a diverse range of projects.
- Coordinate mitigation planning, implementation, and monitoring activities.
- Engage with clients for proposal development and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while seeking new opportunities.
- Provide expertise in natural resources and impact assessments and be recognized as a leader in our environmental practice.
- Manage CEQA and NEPA processes, driving project schedules and budgets for medium-to-large, complex projects.
- Conduct research and coordinate efforts with public/private clients, engineering partners, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure project excellence by effectively communicating with clients and managing financial aspects of environmental tasks.
- Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team and engage in other relevant tasks as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage stakeholders to understand their needs, issues, and concerns.
- Capability Building: Act as a subject matter expert in relevant areas, maintaining your knowledge through continuous professional development.
- Operational Compliance: Monitor and address noncompliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Business Advice: Provide advice on policies and procedures to assist others in making informed decisions.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and impacts on the business.
- A BA/BS or higher in environmental sciences, environmental studies, biology, planning, or a related field; a Master's Degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a focus on project management and business development.
- Proficiency in CEQA, NEPA, permitting processes, and mitigation planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to quality work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce, Power BI, or BST is a bonus.

Salary Range: $106,000-$176,000 based on experience and location. This position is based in Eureka, California, or any of our offices in California.
