The City of Concord is accepting applications for part-time community center Facility Attendants to support the Recreation Services Department. This recruitment will be used to fill a current vacancy at the Senior Center and also establish an eligibility list to fill future positions as they become available.
- Facility Attendant I: $17.22 - $19.48, no experience required
- Facility Attendant II: $18.09 - $20.47 with one or more years of experience
- Centre Concord, located at 5298 Clayton Road, provides large rental facilities with adjustable lighting, a portable dance floor, expansive staging, and spaces for up to 400 guests. Smaller spaces include classrooms and meeting areas for conferences and receptions.
- The Concord Senior Center, located at 2727 Parkside Circle, offers rooms for meetings, parties, weddings, and other community events. The main event space accommodates up to 160 guests and includes kitchen and audio/visual equipment.
- The Willow Pass Community Center, located at 2748 East Olivera Road, is suitable for business trainings, meetings, luncheons, receptions, etc., featuring a banquet room for up to 200 guests, activity rooms for up to 50 people, a kitchen and beverage bar, and an outdoor patio.
Facility Attendants provide supervision of the community center during classes and rentals; set up and take down chairs, tables, equipment; and perform light custodial services. They must provide a high level of support to customers and ensure safety by enforcing policies and procedures.
- Serving as the main point of contact for instructors, participants, and renters during scheduled shifts
- Setting up, taking down, and cleaning up the facility before and after events and classes as assigned
- Effectively communicating and enforcing facility policies and procedures
- Effectively communicating program and schedule information to customers
- Completing all paperwork required for rentals and classes
- Using strong verbal and written communication skills to provide information to customers, co‑workers and supervisors
- Monitoring equipment inventories and recommending procurement of items as needed
- Inspecting facility and equipment and recommending procurement, maintenance and repair as needed
- Demonstrating at all times cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and the public
- Other duties as assigned

Education: Satisfactory completion of high school or the equivalent.
Experience: None required.
Other Requirements: Valid California Driver's License, satisfactory driving record, and successful fingerprint check.
FACILITY ATTENDANT IIEducation: Satisfactory completion of high school or the equivalent.
Experience: One or more years in a customer‑service driven field. Facilities experience is desirable. Ability to speak and understand Spanish is desirable, but not required.
Other Requirements: Valid California Driver's License, satisfactory driving record, and successful fingerprint check.
