Roles & Responsibilities   Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising PT to help patients regain mobility and independence
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and appropriate modalities
Observe, document, and report patient performance, progress, and concerns to the PT
Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home exercise programs to support recovery outside the clinic
Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in line with state, federal, and company guidelines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support patient-centered outcomes in the skilled nursing setting
Qualifications   Active and current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California (required)
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) is required
Strong clinical and communication skills with the ability to follow established treatment plans
Competent in documentation and regulatory compliance related to therapy services
Comfortable working under the supervision of a licensed PT and as part of a care team
Education   Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills   Hands-on knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and gait training
Familiarity with balance training and common physical modalities
Skill in patient and family education for home exercise programs
Ability to assess and report patient progress clearly and professionally
Good time management and documentation accuracy
Team-oriented communication and collaboration skills
