About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for a travel contract opportunity in a Behavioral Health setting. This role involves providing professional social work services to patients, including conducting psychosocial assessments, facilitating group therapy sessions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to support patient care and treatment planning.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience working in behavioral health environments, and the ability to effectively lead group therapy sessions. This position offers consistent daytime hours and the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team while supporting patients in achieving improved mental and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop care plans
Facilitate and lead therapeutic group sessions
Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and families
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions
Support discharge planning and connect patients with community resources
Ensure compliance with professional standards and facility policies
Requirements
Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license
Minimum 2 years of recent Social Worker experience
Experience in behavioral health or mental health settings
Strong experience conducting group therapy sessions and psychosocial assessments
BLS Certification required
Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
