AI Architect/Engineer

A client in Concord, CA is looking for an AI Architect/Engineer to join their team. Our client is hiring a founding AI Architect/Engineer to design and build the company's AI strategy, architecture, and product roadmap from the ground up. With over 15 years of proprietary fundraising data and no existing AI team or platform, this individual will be responsible for creating intelligent solutions that enhance fundraising campaigns, ticketing, sponsor ships, advertising, donor engagement, and business insights.

This is a highly technical role with approximately 70% hands-on development and 30% architecture and strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build the company's AI strategy and technical foundation
• Develop AI-powered fundraising assistants and campaign creation tools
• Design and implement customer-facing and internal AI chatbots/copilots
• Build RAG solutions leveraging 15+ years of fundraising and customer data
• Develop AI agents and automated workflow solutions
• Create predictive analytics and recommendation engines
• Design scalable data pipelines and AI-ready data architectures
• Establish evaluation frameworks, governance standards, and cost controls for AI solutions
• Partner directly with Product and Executive leadership on AI initiatives
• Deliver production-grade AI applications that improve customer outcomes and business efficiency
