Looking for an ASL Interpreter position where you can work directly with students and keep a consistent weekday schedule? We're hiring a school-based ASL Interpreter in Concord, CA to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing students throughout the school day.
You'll provide ASL interpretation in a K-12 school setting, helping students access classroom instruction, communicate with teachers and peers, and participate fully in school activities.

- Provide ASL interpretation for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students during the school day
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and student-teacher communication
- Interpret between spoken English and American Sign Language
- Help facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support students during classroom activities, meetings, transitions, and other school activities
- Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate professional boundaries
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other members of the student's educational team
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong expressive and receptive interpreting skills
- Ability to accurately interpret spoken English into ASL and ASL into spoken English
- K-12, educational, or professional interpreting experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet applicable California and school district requirements for educational interpreters
This pay range represents Covelo Group's good faith maximum rate for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
