CNC machines may include DMG Mori 5-Axis Mill-Turn with Celos controls, OKK & Niigata mills with Fanuc controls & HAAS Mills, DMG Mori NLX-4000 lathes with Celos controls, Doosan VTL & Mori Seiki horizontal lathes with Fanuc controls.
- Assist engineering in planning sequence of operations; determine cutting tools, method of holding, aligning work, machine speeds & feeds for CNC lathe and/or mill operations.
- Independently set up & run CNC lathes with or without live-tooling and CNC mills to complete all operations within capacity.
- Work from drawings, specifications, setup sheets, & verbal instructions.
- Perform program edits or programs at the machine control and perform all required adjustments to cutting tool offsets.
- Recognize improper machine functioning or cutting and develop procedures for corrective action.
- Provide unbiased, proactive feedback to engineering/programming for process improvements.
- Inspect work to detailed drawings or sketches using precision measuring devices/instruments.
- Work with the inspection department as required to ensure product conformance.
- Perform daily machine preventative maintenance (fluid levels, pressures, cleaning).
- Report to work on time & follow instructions from the department lead and supervisor; interact well with co-workers in a team-oriented environment & understand & follow workplace rules & procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to & support safe work environment policies & 6S & lean manufacturing principles.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Solid working knowledge of general machining practices & blueprint reading.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of experience and/or training on CNC lathes and/or mills, measuring devices, & inspection methods.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read & interpret documents such as engineering drawings, tool designs, safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence & speak & present information as required to individuals or small groups.
- Ability to perform basic shop math calculations in the course of assigned work scope.
- Thorough understanding of CNC machine function & G‑Code language.

Work Schedule: Monday‑Thursday 5:00 am‑5:30 pm
Compensation Range: $41,350.00 to $62,030.00 USD
Benefits: Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, all based on scheduled hours. Benchmark complies with applicable state and local employee leave laws.
