The manufacturing role is focused on CNC Lathe or Mill Machinist operations, working with DMG Mori, OKK, Niigata, and HAAS machinery.
Responsibilities- Assist engineering in planning operations, selecting cutting tools, and determining machine speeds and feeds for CNC Lathe and Mill work.
- Set up and run CNC Lathes and Mills independently, completing all operations within machine capacity.
- Work from drawings, specifications, setup sheets, and verbal instructions.
- Perform program edits and offset adjustments on machine controls.
- Recognize improper machine functioning or cutting issues and develop corrective procedures.
- Provide unbiased, proactive feedback to engineering and programming for process improvements.
- Inspect work against detailed drawings or sketches using precision measuring devices.
- Collaborate with the inspection department to ensure product conformance.
- Perform daily machine preventive maintenance (fluid levels, pressures, cleaning).
- Report to work on time and follow instructions from department lead and supervisor; interact well with co‑workers in a team‑oriented environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to and support safe work environment policies, 6S, and lean manufacturing principles.
– Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Solid, working knowledge of general machining practices and blueprint reading.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience and/or training on CNC lathes and/or mills, measuring devices, and inspection methods.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tool designs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in written correspondence and oral presentation to small groups.
- Basic shop math calculation proficiency.
- Thorough understanding of CNC machine function and G‑Code language.
- Benchmark considers this a safety‑sensitive position.

Concord, CA. - Shift 1; work schedule Monday–Thursday 5:00 am–5:30 pm; full‑time.
- Competitive compensation range $41.35 k–$62.03 k.
