Position: Night Shift Production Supervisor (Concord)

The Night Shift Production Supervisor bridges the gap between upper management and the frontline manufacturing team. The incumbent is responsible for keeping the facility running effectively, and oversees daily production operations to ensure that goods are manufactured safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to exact quality standards.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safety of all personnel within the facility
  • Drives a strong safety culture and follows through on any safety issues, conducting thorough and timely incident investigations
  • Ensures all equipment is in an acceptable and properly maintained condition
  • Provides directions to team members within the manufacturing department
  • Ensures department is running effectively and optimally, with trained personnel in place at all times
  • Executes against standardized work methods to meet daily and weekly schedules
  • Monitors and analyzes inputs, outputs, and key metrics
  • Attends and participates in organizational meetings
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall operational results
  • Applies knowledge and ensures compliance with legislative bodies
  • Demonstrates full commitment to GMP processes and product quality
  • Completes daily sign‑off of all documents / shift reports
  • Reviews action items with other team leaders during shift handoff
  • Acts as point of contact for employee issues and concerns, and provides follow‑up in a timely manner
  • Coaches team members on delivering business results
  • Develops team members through certification training and coaching, providing clear roles and consistent support and feedback to all employees
  • Conducts performance management sessions with direct reports, providing constructive coaching and suggesting areas for professional development
  • Fosters and maintains a positive employee relations environment by treating all employees with respect, providing timely feedback and resolutions pertaining to employee issues / concerns
  • Conducts regular communication and safety meetings with team
  • Processes payroll and employee scheduling via Dayforce
  • Monitors and maintains material inventory
  • Coordinates product schedules and material requirements with Supply Chain team
  • Conducts inventory cycle counts as required
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned by Plant Manager
Qualifications /

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Post‑secondary education in Operations Management, Business or Technical field
  • Production team first‑line management experience, preferably in consumer‑packaged goods, assembly or continuous line operation; workplace experience a must
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing workplace an asset
  • Batching or compounding skills would be an asset
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of safety processes and procedures
  • Ability to train personnel on SDS interpretation
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel) and time and attendance applications
  • Knowledge of GMP guidelines
  • Must be available to move to a continental shift when required

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with direct reports, peers, and executives
  • Proven experience working well with resources (Maintenance, QA, Supply Chain, Processing departments …)
  • Strong initiative and leadership skills, independent thinking, organizational and planning abilities
  • Creative thinker capable of building, launching and managing projects/programs that drive results for our customers
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills essential
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic; capable of working in a fast‑paced environment, multi‑tasking and prioritizing under time constraints and deadlines
