Position: Welder Fitter 2 Positions Concord, Stoufville

Job Summary

We are seeking two skilled Welder Fitters to join our manufacturing team in Stouffville. These positions involve performing exact welding and fitting tasks to support the fabrication of structural and mechanical components. The ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various welding techniques. Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet safety and quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
  • Rigging and crane operation to position heavy components safely during fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Conduct machining operations as needed, utilizing calipers and other measuring tools for precision fitting.
  • Assist with ductwork, structural steel fabrication, and assembly tasks in construction or manufacturing settings.
  • Operate forklifts when necessary to move materials safely around the worksite.
  • Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG), blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging, crane operation, machining, ductwork fabrication, and use of hand/power tools.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to measurements and fabrication tolerances.
  • Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, welding codes, and safety standards.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to construction or manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Valid certification or demonstrated experience in welding techniques is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to handle heavy materials and operate machinery safely.

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
