Overview

Benchmark is a technology-driven organization that provides advanced manufacturing services across multiple sectors.

• Set up and operate lathes, millers, shapers, grinders, planers, and power drills.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Perform diversified machining operations such as boring, turning, facing, reaming, grinding, milling, and tapering.
• Work on machined parts, forgings, and castings of varying complexity and dimension.
• Determine and maintain proper operational sequences and perform all necessary mathematical calculations to complete the job.
• Determine appropriate feeds and speeds for all operations.
• Check own work to tolerance of +/- .00005.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and manufacture parts from a layout drawing without use of sketches or verbal instructions.
• Perform bench work including filing, deburring, grinding, lapping, indexing, scraping, and fitting to complete mechanical assemblies.
• Set up and operate gauges, electro‑limit gauges, and size blocks for own work assessments.
• Make decisions regarding fits and tolerances when necessary.
• Operate, alter, repair, and plan own work as required.
• Interpret results of complex checks by setting up and operating instruments such as air gauges and electro‑limit gauges.

• 6+ years of experience in complex machining operations; CNC programming may be included.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Preferred: 2‑year technical degree or apprenticeship certificate.
• All employees are responsible for the quality of their work to ensure customer satisfaction.

Work Schedule:

Friday – Sunday, 5:00 am – 5:30 pm. Full‑time position.

This position is classified as safety‑sensitive. Where permitted, Benchmark will conduct a pre‑employment drug screen, which may include testing for THC. Benchmark maintains a drug‑ and alcohol‑free workplace and may conduct reasonable‑suspicion and post‑incident testing in accordance with applicable law.

Compensation Range: $36.54 to $52.00 USD per hour. Benefits include a Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance based on scheduled hours.
