Position: RN - BHC Child Psychiatric Services - Inpatient - Full Time - 8 Hour - Nights

Job Overview

Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for planning, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a group of patients within the John Muir Behavioral Health Standards of Care, ANA’s Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for patients during assigned shifts.
  • Utilize therapeutic self, nursing process, environment, and technology to provide care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for integrated care solutions.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (e.g., B.S., M.S., or equivalent).
  • Experience in nursing, psychiatry, and inpatient behavioral health.
Certifications & Licenses
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – California Board of Nursing (required).
  • BLS Basic Life Support (required).
  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (required; within 30 days of hire and renewed annually or upon return from leave).
Schedule & Compensation

Work Shift:

08:00 – 23:00 – 07:30 (no waiver).

Hourly Pay Range: $73.01 – $99.38 (adjusted for market if hired outside Bay Area).

Based in the East Bay region of California, serving patients in Contra Costa, Alameda, and southern Solano Counties. Facility includes Walnut Creek Medical Center and Concord Medical Center.
