Position Summary
The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver responsible for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame, using the John Muir Behavioral Health Standards of Care, ANA’s Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act (Title 22) and Title 16.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, environment, and technology.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience in nursing psychiatry.
- Preferred experience in inpatient behavioral health.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the California Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Training – required within 30 days of hire and renewal annually or within 30 days of return from a leave of absence.
Shift: 08:00 – 23:00 (Sunday-Saturday). Scheduled weekly hours: 32. Position is exempt from overtime.
CompensationHourly rate: $73.01 – $99.38, based on experience and licensure. Adjusted to local market for non-Bay Area hires. Positions exempt (managerial level) are listed hourly for compensation purposes.
