Position Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department. The ADON helps ensure the highest standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and clinical excellence while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management of nursing services
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote quality resident care Monitor compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Participate in staff education, orientation, and ongoing competency training
Assist with clinical audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care Support infection prevention, risk management, and survey readiness efforts
Help coordinate staffing and maintain appropriate clinical coverage
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care
Qualifications
Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
Strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and clinical practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Current CPR certification preferred
