SummaryInstall and remove mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub‑assemblies according to work instructions and visual aids. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action.
Responsibilities- Use hand tools and custom fixtures, working in a team environment with other assemblers and support functions to produce products on time and with a high level of quality.
- Perform validation and inspection of own work and within immediate work area.
- Maintain adequate supplies and a neat and orderly work area.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation.
- May become involved with product testing.
- Participate in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate.
- Proactively participate in site Lean engagement and activities.
- Provide feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminate root cause.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all company security policies and procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Be able to perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above.
- Cross‑train in all assigned operations and/or be a specialist or SME in at least one involved process.
- Use a wide variety of tooling.
- Work with moderately complex processes and challenging customer expectations.
- Use independent judgment with minimum oversight by supervision.
- Work with complex product testing.
- Serve as a mentor to less skilled employees.
- Handle multiple and changing priorities.
- Be multi‑skilled and/or possess specialized knowledge.
- Be competent with reading and understanding of blueprints.
- Normally receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic‑intermediate math.
- Ability to perform moderate‐complex placement and testing.
- 3–10 years working with all processes or specialized knowledge in one or more processes.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic to moderate placement and testing activities.
Physical Location: Concord, CA
Shift: Shift 8
Work Schedule: Friday–Sunday 5:00am–5:30pm

Where permitted by applicable law, Benchmark will conduct a pre‑employment drug screen, which may include testing for THC. Benchmark maintains a drug‑ and alcohol‑free workplace and may conduct reasonable‑suspicion and post‑incident testing in accordance with applicable law.
Compensation: $23.51 to $35.26 USD per hour.
Benefits: Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance based on scheduled hours. Benchmark complies with applicable state and local employee leave laws.
