Cafe Associate

Position Summary

As a Team Member at Sam’s Club you will assist with the preparation and presentation of food merchandise, maintain high food‑safety standards, leverage digital tools to drive sales, and provide exceptional customer service.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications for prepared food merchandise and educate associates on tools, tasks and resources.
• Prepare food according to item specifications, plan future productions and mass productions, prepare for seasonality, and adhere to food‑safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate, maintain and sanitize equipment, and demonstrate understanding of product‑layout execution.
• Leverage digital and handheld technology to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and enable immediate business decisions related to production, ordering, training and product quality.
• Drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date‑control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service and resolve member concerns.
• Act as a brand advocate, develop, influence, and inspire others with a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented style; assist in associate training.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers and business partners; communicate progress; identify improvement opportunities.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete all required job trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

• Food Safety Certification.
• Food Service or Food Handler Certification.

Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
