Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Installation & Service Engineers (Entry Level) role based in Concord, CA. In this role, the engineer will assist with installation, configuration, and commissioning of Akesis radiation therapy systems at customer sites, following documented procedures and safety standards. Daily activities include performing routine checks, supporting preventive maintenance, and executing basic troubleshooting to ensure systems operate reliably and within specifications.

The engineer will provide technical support to clinical staff, document service activities, and elevate complex issues to senior engineers when needed. The role also involves working closely with customers to explain system operation, coordinate service visits, and represent Akesis with professional, customer-focused conduct.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in field service and on-site equipment installation for complex medical or technical systems.
  • Candidates should possess skills in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Candidates should possess skills in preventive maintenance to keep systems operating safely and efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess strong customer service skills to collaborate with clinical teams and support end users.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, medical technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Ability to read technical documentation, follow standardized procedures, and maintain accurate service records.
  • Comfort working in clinical environments, with attention to safety, regulatory requirements, and radiation protection guidelines.
  • Willingness to learn Akesis product systems, travel to customer sites as needed, and work occasionally outside standard business hours.
