Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department is seeking an experienced Maintenance Utility Mechanic. The current vacancy is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment and systems.
What you will be doingThe Maintenance Utility Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, diagnosing and troubleshooting primarily HVAC/R equipment and systems, but may be assigned work maintaining, repairing, diagnosing and troubleshooting other utility, plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment and systems; and performing preventative maintenance on all equipment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has technical knowledge and experience in maintaining mechanical systems, especially those pertaining to HVAC/R, but including basic electricity, and plumbing;
- Is experienced with construction-related utility work;
- Has a keen eye and attention to detail;
- Is highly organized and able to prioritize tasks;
