Senior Middleware Java Developer

Location: Hybrid (Client located in Concord, CA)

Must be able to work on W-2 Basis

Not open to C2C

Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.

• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• 2+ years of Leadership experience
• 4+ years of demonstrated experience and ability to work in an inclusive, geographically distributed teams (including onshore and offshore), including supporting, leading, and directing teams.
• 4+ years of prior working experience with middleware web services/API application design, and implementation in a high volume production environment.
• 4+ years of engineering and technical leadership experience in leading and supporting mission critical applications.

• Experience in implementing Quality Engineering best practices and SDLC process improvements.
• Working experience with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops , and application support is preferred.
• Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of cloud readiness/cloud design principles/containerization (Kubernetes/Open Shift Platform) for Java/Spring applications.
• Experience with one or more Observability/Monitoring tools:
  Elastic, Grafana, App Dynamics, Splunk, Dyna Trace.
• Experience or familiarity with Apigee or other API Management tools.

Bachelor’s degree with preference in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Business, and/or equivalent formal training, certifications, or work experience.
