Join Aqua Tech Swim as a Children’s Swim Lesson Operations Manager – Concord
If you are a confident, people-centered leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves making a meaningful impact on children’s lives, Aqua Tech Swim is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our Concord Campus. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys guiding teams, maintaining high operational standards, and staying connected to the pool deck. You will play a central role in ensuring safety, instructional quality, staff development, and exceptional family experiences—every day.
Role Overview- Title: Swim School Operations Manager
- Pay: $24–$27/hour
- Weekdays: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Concord Campus: 1220 Diamond Way, Concord, CA 94520
Training: 4 weeks total, including 2 weeks of fully paid onboarding at our Alameda Campus
- Year-round leadership role—this is not a seasonal position

Operations Managers at Aqua Tech Swim support both dry land operations and in‑water instruction, ensuring high-quality programming and safe, consistent execution.
Daily Operations & Leadership- Oversee day-to-day facility operations and shift flow
- Serve as an on-deck leadership presence during operating hours
- Apply and enforce Aqua Tech policies, safety rules, and procedures consistently
- Identify, document, and elevate operational or safety concerns appropriately
- Maintain clear, professional communication with families and staff
- Model professionalism, reliability, and safety-focused leadership
- Coach, support, and mentor swim instructors
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and achievement-oriented team environment
- Lead check-ins, feedback conversations, and team communication
- Regularly teach swim lessons using the Aqua Tech Teaching Curriculum
- Maintain instructional proficiency and required certifications
- Mentor instructors on child development, lesson structure, and swimmer progression
- Lead by example by working in the water alongside your team
- Complete accurate and timely documentation related to operations, safety, and staff performance
- Communicate compliance, safety, or customer concerns promptly to leadership
- Ensure consistent adherence to company standards and expectations
- 18+ years old with a high school diploma
- At least 1 year of people management or leadership experience
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
- Comfortable working both on deck and in the water
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to maintain certification)
- Experience in aquatics is a plus, but not required—we provide training
- Long-term mindset and passion for working with children and teams
- In-water work in a warm indoor pool (approximately 88–92°F)
- Standing and walking on wet pool decks for extended periods
- Lifting and assisting children (typically 20–50 lbs)
- High-energy, humid, and noisy aquatic environment
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations, including entering the water
