Operations Supervisor – Concord, CA
Job SummaryThe Operations Supervisor assists the General Manager in all aspects of daily location functions, focusing on safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for driver check-in, including fitness-for-duty inspections, uniform and credential checks, and bus assignment.
- Coordinate trips and driver schedules, ensuring proper breaks and lunches, and proactively manage coverage for call-outs and operational demands.
- Track employee attendance and enforce company policies.
- Issue disciplinary actions in alignment with company procedures.
- Conduct regular department meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and performance goals.
- Prepare and distribute operational memos and communications.
- Supervise office staff to ensure performance aligns with established KPIs.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and provide reporting and analysis when KPIs are not met.
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, and high-quality customer service.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
- Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity; may involve outdoor work and remote locations.
- Sit for up to 6–8 hours per day; frequently walk long distances and on sloped, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 15 pounds; lift materials up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas and tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
- Hourly rate: minimum $30.92–maximum $31.85.
- Vacation: minimum 2 weeks.
- Sick days: 5 days.
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating).
- Retirement: 401(k) plan.
- Health: medical, dental, and vision.
- Insurance: life, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.
Full-time, non-CBA position.
