Summary
In the role of Warehouse co‑ordinator, you will be essential in maintaining efficient office operations and supporting various administrative tasks. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will utilize your core skills in Microsoft Office, data entry, and customer service to manage inventory control and assist with the warehouse management system. Your experience with Quick Books and office procedure will enhance our operational efficiency.
Additionally, your skills in proofreading and clerical tasks will ensure accurate documentation and effective communication within the team.
- Participate in onboarding and training programs to gain a comprehensive understanding of operations.
- Promote and maintain a safe workplace environment.
- Lead and motivate the logistics team to achieve performance goals.
- Monitor KPI and drive process improvement.
- Comply with all logistics, supply chain management, and client‑specific security protocols.
- Coordinate with the management team to plan and manage day‑to‑day workload for the distribution team.
- Allocate and drop orders efficiently to optimize warehouse operations.
- Plan and assign customer orders to designated staging areas based on priority and availability.
- Use and maintain the electronic receiving & shipping schedules for scheduling, checking in, and tracking inbound and outbound loads.
- Oversee stock receipt, transfer, returns, invoicing, and transport documentation.
- Coordinate dock doors for loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Prepare and distribute all required paperwork for picking, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other essential shipping documentation for outbound drivers.
- Maintain and utilize the electronic scheduling system to schedule, check in, and track loads.
- Review, receive, and properly file shipping and receiving documents.
- Communicate order changes, date modifications, and shipment issues with clients in a timely manner.
- Notify clients of shortages or issues and process short orders only with approval.
- Liaise with transport companies to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Provide administrative support to warehouse MHE operators regarding computer systems and WMS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including label discrepancies, inbound/outbound load closure problems, and RF scanner problems.
- Respond promptly to internal and external customer inquiries via email.
- Evaluate operational effectiveness and recommend improvements to workflows, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure adherence to Food Safety Policies and Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
- Experience:
2‑3 years in warehousing or logistics; at least 2 years as a Warehouse Co‑ordinator. - Education:
Secondary school diploma (preferred).
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
