Job SummaryThe Counter Sales Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. This role performs both manual and clerical duties, including inventory tracking, documentation, order preparation, and material movement within the warehouse. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and capable of operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities- Receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment and verify shipments against receiving documentation.
- Inspect incoming goods for accuracy and condition upon receipt.
- Gather, verify, package, and prepare items for shipment according to specifications and transportation requirements.
- Maintain accurate written and computerized records of received and shipped materials.
- Route materials and equipment to inspection, storage, or designated warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jack lifts safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and material organization within the warehouse.
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Provide professional customer service and communication when interacting with internal teams or external contacts.
- Follow warehouse procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
- Perform additional warehouse and operational duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience required.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Ability to operate powered warehouse equipment including forklifts and hydraulic lifts.
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.
- Ability to work scheduled hours of 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, or receiving required.
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered warehouse equipment preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
