Client Overview:
Our client is a global organization seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to support high-volume payroll operations. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while supporting a large employee population and collaborating with cross-functional teams across HR and Finance.
Salary/Hourly Rate:$38/hr - $42/hr
Position Overview:The Payroll Analyst will be a key individual contributor responsible for the end-to-end processing of biweekly U.S. payroll for more than 3,000 employees utilizing Workday. This role requires strong payroll expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The position will also serve as a backup resource for payroll processing in multiple international locations to support business continuity efforts.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:- Process accurate and timely biweekly multi-state payroll for 3,000+ employees using Workday.
- Perform thorough audits of payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and tax with holdings.
- Reconcile payroll data prior to transmission and validate reports following payroll completion.
- Research, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour regulations.
- Manage payroll taxation requirements, garnishments, liens, and other mandatory deductions.
- Process off-cycle payrolls for corrections, terminations, and bonus payments as needed.
- Serve as backup support for payroll processing in Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
- Partner closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain data integrity related to employee records, compensation changes, new hires, and terminations.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including tax form reconciliation and distribution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain payroll procedures and process documentation.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Extensive Workday Payroll experience.
- Multi-state payroll processing expertise.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxation and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting payroll operations in Canada, Mexico, and/or Costa Rica.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience working within a global organization.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience supporting international payroll functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
