We are seeking a talented Project Accountant to join our team and support the successful delivery of transformative design projects.

Position Overview

studioDSK is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Accountant to support the Finance team and Project Managers by coordinating the financial management of our projects.

In this role, you will help maintain the financial health of projects while serving as a key liaison between project teams, clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your organizational skills and accounting expertise will drive efficiency and accuracy.

Reporting to: Controller Location: Concord, Massachusetts Working Arrangement: On-site (office-based)
Key Responsibilities
Project Financial Coordination
  • Manage project setup and monitor project budgets.
  • Process monthly billing and revenue recognition.
  • Track project costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
Project Accounting
Accounts Receivable
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances.
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding and delinquent payments.
Accounts Payable
  • Process consultant and overhead invoices weekly or as needed.
Internal Controls
  • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
Process Improvement
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and financial reporting procedures.
General Ledger
  • Prepare consultant accruals and journal entries.
  • Support month-end close activities.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
Additional Support
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller and leadership team.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years' progressive accounting and billing experience within architecture, engineering, or construction firms.
  • Proven experience with Deltek Vision
    , Deltek Vantagepoint
    , or similar project accounting software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and professional maturity.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
