Position: Management and Program Analyst (Project Scheduler).
  • Apply project management principles to ensure projects are correctly entered into the automated information system.
  • Ensure projects use the correct project architecture and work breakdown structure templates.
  • Use project management software to implement and maintain project schedules with resource loading.
  • Maintain and monitor database integrity for the project management system.
  • Advise managers on methods to customize project architecture and work breakdown structures.
  • Evaluate schedules and project data to identify consistent and efficient management processes.
  • Analyze the flow of information to identify and correct areas of confusion or misinformation.

Requirements

Conditions of employment

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel of up to 5% of the time may be required.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state drivers license.

Specialized

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Assisting in the creation and maintenance of project schedules using project management software;
2) Helping to monitor project data and update information within project management systems;
3) Gathering information to support the analysis of project schedules and performance metrics; and
4) Communicating with team members and stakeholders to provide status updates and basic technical assistance on scheduling matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
