Bedi Dental Group is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our established practice. Our ideal candidate accepts a high level of responsibility and works with dentists to create treatment plans so they can more efficiently care for patients, with duties such as cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, examining oral health, applying preventative agents and maintaining patient records. We welcome Hygienists who are excellent communicators, organized and can build strong relationships with both patients and co-workers.

- Compensation: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour

Bedi Dental Group is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our established practice. Our ideal candidates accept a high level of responsibility and working with Dentists to create treatment plans so they can more efficiently care for patients, with duties such as cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, examining oral health, applying preventative agents and maintaining patient records. We welcome Hygienists who are excellent communicators, organized and can build strong relationships with both patients and co-workers.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for providing hygiene treatment to patients
- Review daily schedule with the patient care coordinator for hygiene patients
- Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary
- Perform scaling, root planing and selective polishing for patients as appropriate
- Polish restorations
- Take radiographs of patients as prescribed by dentist
- Gather and review patient charts for the day
- Maintain a supply inventory for hygiene treatments
- Maintain treatment room to ensure cleanliness and sterilization per OSHA regulations
- Apply cavity-preventative agents, such as fluorides and sealants
- Accurately and appropriately record provided treatments
- Teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients
- Counsel patients on oral health and nutrition
- State licensure to practice Dental Hygiene, and meet all applicable state requirements
- Must have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Experience with dental assistance specific to periodontics
- Experience providing prophylaxis and taking X-rays
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists and coworkers
- Strong computer skills (list of specific dental software previously worked with)
- Open Dental knowledge is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff
