Areaof Responsibility
- Scientific collaboration in a third‑party funded research project on the macroeconomic consequences of swings in global food commodity prices
- Own scientific qualification as part of a doctorate under the supervision of JProf. Dr. Rüth
- Provision of scientific services in the fulfillment of the tasks of the professorship
- Completed university degree (diploma/MA/state examination) in economics, finance, business mathematics, statistics, data science or related disciplines
- Advanced knowledge in econometrics and economics/finance
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Matlab, Stata, Python, R)
- Ability to work independently
- Very good command of the English language (level C1)

Comments/RemarksThe position is initially limited for three years according to the duration of the project (with the possibility of an extension). The advertisement is addressed to applicants who fulfil the requirements of the German Act on Temporary Scientific Contracts (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz). The general requirements for employment according to § 91 section 5 Thüringer Hochschulgesetz apply.
If you have a foreign university degree, it is necessary that you apply for a certificate application at the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen, ZAB). We recommend attaching the corresponding certificate to your application documents; you may also provide it at a later stage of the process.
