Who We Are Looking For:

Are you the Education Coordinator we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our students!

Walden Street School is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Walden provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM

The position is full time Monday through Friday with overtime available as needed. Reports directly to Director of Education/Assistant Program Director. This position is ideal for someone interested in special education, particularly with students with mental health struggles.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

JRI Provides The Training So That:
  • YOU will support students and staff in the classrooms and residential milieu as needed.
  • YOU will complete primary duties include compiling written reports (including IEP progress reports, treatment reports, rounds), covering classes for teachers when they are out, supporting students 1:1 as needed, and supporting the Education Director with tasks as needed.
  • YOU will support students before school at breakfast, and on non-school days in the milieu, through providing student supervision, educational groups and educational field trips as appropriate for individuals/groups of students.

Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Special Education license preferred but not required.
  • At least 1 year experience as a supervisor and administrator
  • At least 3 years of experience working in Special Education with young adults with emotional disabilities
  • Candidates with experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or treatment program are preferred.
  • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
