This position is for the 26/27 school year only.

The special education tutor works in our therapeutic program for students with social/emotional and behavioral disabilities.

• Behavior interventions
• Positive behavior supports
• Deescalation strategies

Special education tutors are also expected to prepare materials and implement lessons under the supervision of the special education teacher.

We are looking for a candidate with flexibility, excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple environments with varied staff members.

A bachelor's degree is required. A teaching license is preferred. Experience with ABA is desirable as is Safety Care certification. Education in psychology, elementary education, special education or a related field is also preferred.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Hours:

32.5 hours per week (approximate). Schedule below may be adjusted by 15 minutes in either direction.

8:45 – 3:30 – M, Tu, Th, F
8:45 – 2:00 – W

$30.01–$37.47 per hour depending on experience.
