The Fenn School is seeking an Associate Director of Admission with a focus on building and maintaining community partnerships that enable Fenn to reach families representing a broad range of communities, interests, and multicultural backgrounds.
Fenn seeks a dynamic, relationship-centered admission professional to serve as Associate Director of Admission Recruitment. In this key 12-month role, you will partner with the Director of Admission and Financial Aid to champion a modern recruitment strategy that includes territory management and invites families to discover the impact of a Fenn education. Your goal is to amplify Fenn’s presence through authentic partnership and creative outreach to families representing a broad range of communities, interests, and multicultural backgrounds to ensure we attract mission-aligned students who will thrive in our all-boys environment.
We are looking for a resourceful and empathetic communicator who can seamlessly bridge the gap between strategic data-driven goals and high-touch personal connections. As a primary advocate for our grades 4–9 program, you will also partner with current parents and guardians who serve as the most influential brand ambassadors as you continue to evolve this volunteer program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Recruitment & Outreach- Partner with the Director of Admission and Financial Aid to design and evaluate data-driven recruitment strategies within the School’s catchment area.
- Spearhead recruitment strategies by building and maintaining partnerships with organizations that support historically underrepresented students, as well as those focused on the arts, youth athletics, and related community initiatives.
- Plan and execute high-impact off-campus events, managing everything from venue coordination and host relations to post-event follow-up.
- Lead the Parent Outreach Partners (POP) ambassador program, overseeing the onboarding, training, and year-round engagement of 80+ current parents and alumni.
- Cultivate strong relationships with prospective families, feeder school professionals, and community partners within assigned territories.
- Serve as a primary ambassador for Fenn’s mission and philosophy, conducting high-impact campus tours, student interviews, and family consultations.
- Evaluate applicant files and provide thoughtful, expert contributions to admission committee deliberations and final selection decisions.
- Collaborate across departments to identify student ambassadors and support cross-functional school initiatives.
- Support the Director in strategic planning, data reporting, and continuous process improvement to enhance the candidate experience.
- Conduct campus tours for prospective families and educational consultants.
- Represent the school at local community events and external recruitment fairs.
- Full Campus Involvement:
Contribute to the broader Fenn community through attendance at campus-wide events and potential roles in teaching or coaching. - Departmental Support:
Execute additional duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and Financial Aid.
- Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, with 5–7 years of experience in admissions, marketing, communications, or sales is highly valued. - Mission Alignment:
Deep enthusiasm for working within an all-boys day school environment serving grades 4–9, coupled with a strong alignment to Fenn’s core values, mission, and philosophy. - Strategic Track Record:
Proven success in developing and executing strategic recruitment initiatives that drive results. - Data Literacy:
Ability to track, analyze, and leverage data to inform strategic decision-making and process improvements. - Communication Excellence:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate Fenn’s mission authentically to diverse audiences and to respond to families and other community members in a timely manner. - Project Management & Agility:
