Systems Engineer, Test Engineer
Overview
APS is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced U.S. Navy undersea systems from concept through production and qualification. The successful candidate will lead systems engineering efforts for clean-sheet hardware developments, translating customer and engineering requirements into well-defined subsystem and component requirements while supporting verification, validation, integration, and Navy qualification activities.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams to develop complex mechanical, electrical, and software-based systems for maritime applications, and proven ability to support schedule and coordinate resources to meet system definition and test milestones while providing engineering rigor to deconflict subsystem interactions during rapid development, test, and production cycles. APS works on exciting, technically challenging, research & development programs where multidisciplinary teams work closely to address difficult national security needs.
This role offers the opportunity to shape next-generation undersea capabilities by leading systems engineering activities from initial customer requirements through successful Navy qualification and deployment. At APS you will work in a small company environment where technical and administrative excellence are rewarded, and an entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged. This position will allow applicants to make meaningful contributions to the APS mission.
