Job Summary
Reporting to the Section Leader, Mammography/Sonography, utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related data.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Graduate of an educational program that meets eligibility for ARDMS registry.
- Previous experience as a sonographer strongly preferred.
- Current registration with ARDMS; or ARDMS-eligible with ARDMS achieved within 1 year of hire.
BLS healthcare provider required.
Skills- Ultrasound scanning skills in vascular, OBGYN, abdominal and small parts required.
- Must be able to understand oral and written medical/radiological/sonographic terminology.
- Must have comprehension of cross‑sectional anatomy and correlation with anatomical structures.
- Must be able to identify pathological processes.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
