Eliot's Outpatient Clinic provides evidence-based counseling and medication management for children, families and adults with mental health and substance use needs. Eliot is seeking a Director of Outpatient Services
. The Director of Outpatient Services oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the outpatient clinics and provides clinical and administrative leadership to all staff while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance, financial and billing oversight, quality treatment planning and continuity of care.
The ideal candidate has strong clinical leadership experience, proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to maintain strong community partnerships to support service delivery and program growth.
Responsibilities- Direct the day‑to‑day operations of an outpatient clinic, including satellite and outreach sites, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, DPH standards, and third party payer requirements.
- Responsible for the management of all staff including recruitment, selection, retention, disciplinary action, clinical and administrative supervision, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure the integration of outpatient services with other agency services including emergency services, respite services, residential services and other day services as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
- Coordinate clinical services with the Medical Director or designee in order to ensure that the medical staff and clinical staff are carrying out procedures in a uniform and/or complimentary manner.
- Oversee Department of Mental Health and/or other contracts awarded to the program and develop, implement and monitor compliance with contract requirements and budget, including adequate staffing, service capacity, and accessibility to meet requests for service within funding levels.
- Responsible for marketing the Clinic, increasing referrals and obtaining additional managed care contracts. Respond to town and community funding requests, attend community functions and participate on specialized Community committees as requested.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatry and preferred to be licensed at the independent level in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- At least five years experience in a mental health agency, three years of which must include administrative responsibilities and clinical supervision.
- Must have the ability to oversee/manage a multi-disciplinary clinical team and to design/operate programs based on community needs.
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (This role requires traveling between Eliot’s outpatient clinics in Concord MA, Everett MA, and Haverhill, MA).
Annual Salary: $105,000 USD – $115,000 USD
