Job Summary

Join our dedicated laboratory team and make a meaningful impact on patient care every day. Under the general direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, Assistant Phlebotomy Supervisor, and Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist plays a vital role in collecting high-quality blood specimens and ensuring accurate laboratory processing.

Schedule

Schedule: Full Time

Pay Range: $19.57 - $24.00 / Hourly

Shift: Day shift

Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000

What You'll Do
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients (pediatric through adult)
  • Accurately process and enter specimen requisitions into the laboratory computer system
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during all interactions
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support coverage at multiple locations as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program preferred
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
    • Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients preferred
  • Licensure/Certification
    • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Key Skills & Competencies
    • Strong venipuncture and specimen collection techniques
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
    • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
    • Flexibility to adjust priorities and travel between locations as needed
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
    • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
