Salary: $62,000–$70,000 annually, depending on education and licensure.

Our Concord, MA residential treatment center is dedicated to helping adults build lasting recovery in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
We are currently seeking a full‑time Intake Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will facilitate the intake, assessment, and admission process for individuals entering treatment, ensuring timely access to clinically appropriate care while collaborating closely with referral sources and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
Position SummaryThe Intake Clinician is responsible for conducting clinical screenings, comprehensive assessments, level of care determinations, and admission documentation for clients entering treatment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring clients are appropriately assessed and connected to the services that best meet their clinical needs. The Intake Clinician also supports continuity of care through collaboration, crisis intervention, accurate documentation, and coordination of treatment services in accordance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct clinical screenings, biopsychosocial assessments, and level of care determinations using clinical judgment and established assessment criteria, including ASAM and LOCUS, as applicable.
- Facilitate admissions to the appropriate level of care based on assessment findings and placement criteria.
- Complete assessments, admission documentation, authorizations, person‑centered treatment plans, crisis plans, and all required intake documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure continuity of care and coordinated treatment planning.
- Provide coverage for other Intake Clinicians or Assessment Counselors within the region as needed.
- Maintain a limited clinical caseload and provide individual and/or group counseling services when assigned.
- Conduct assessments for referral sources, including hospitals, correctional facilities, juvenile justice programs, forensic settings, and other behavioral health partners, as applicable.
- Utilize crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques to maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in compliance with organizational policies, licensing regulations, accreditation standards, and payer requirements.
- Exercise sound judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality of client and organizational information.
- Complete all required trainings and other duties as assigned.
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications at the time of hire:
- Hold an LADC II or higher clinical license; or
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services or a related field in lieu of clinical licensure; or
- Be license‑eligible, with eligibility confirmed by the site's Clinical Director or Executive Director.
