Job Summary
Provide second‑tier support to end‑users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware. Resolve issues that first‑tier help desk support cannot resolve, collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service and identify core problems. Simulate or reproduce user problems, recommend system modifications, and maintain a high level of technical skill in the field.
Responsibilities- Provide technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers via telephone or on‑site visits.
- Install, configure, and test PCs, printers, and peripherals; set up operating systems and application software.
- Troubleshoot printer, computer, and peripheral incidents; perform hardware and software diagnostics.
- Coordinate needed repairs and resolve computer system problems, including local area network components.
- Participate in evaluation of system configuration and software.
Skills & Qualifications
- Active US Government Secret Security Clearance.
- 3–5 years of desktop support experience.
- CompTIA A+ CE (or equivalent).
- Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA‑Security).
- Must obtain appropriate DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment.
- Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013.
- Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple IT areas.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices.
- Prior USACE/ACE‑IT experience.
- Experience working in a DoD environment.
- Experience supporting Office 365.
Expert level.
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Concord, MA. Fully on‑site.
Compensation & BenefitsHourly pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour.
