Corporate Associate Attorney (M&A / Private Equity) – Boston
A leading national law firm with a highly respected corporate platform is seeking an experienced M&A/Private Equity Associate to join its Boston office. This is an opportunity to step into a sophisticated, fast‑moving practice that advises prominent investors, funds, and commercial enterprises on complex, market‑defining transactions.
OpportunityIn this role, you will work closely with seasoned deal makers on a wide spectrum of private equity and M&A matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, strategic mergers, joint ventures, and portfolio company work. You will gain immediate responsibility, meaningful client contact, and the platform to progress toward partnership within a team known for mentoring, collaboration, and a commitment to professional growth.
Responsibilities- Lead and support key aspects of private equity and M&A transactions from initial structuring through closing.
- Advise sophisticated investors, financial institutions, and private equity sponsors on complex commercial and strategic matters.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents and manage due diligence processes.
- Work closely with partners and cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver practical, business‑minded legal solutions.
- Contribute to a dynamic national corporate practice built on teamwork, responsiveness, and excellence.
- 3+ years of private equity and M&A transactional experience within a law firm environment.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- A proactive, organized, and detail‑driven approach to managing multiple deal timelines.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service while collaborating effectively across teams.
- JD required, plus prior experience working in a law firm.
- Admission to practice in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain it).
